In biblical times this hill was called the Western Hill, home to mostly Sadducees. This expansive and historically rich area holds several important biblical sites where the Lord Almighty performed great signs and miracles. Located here are the Upper Room where Jesus and His disciples shared the Passover meal and the site of Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit descended upon the Apostles as flames of fire. King David’s Tomb is also found on Mount Zion.
